Our 12-light LED pot-light package is $1,049 all-in — the lights, the ESA permit, and professional installation. Price assumes existing ceiling feeds; new wiring runs (popcorn ceilings, finished basements) cost more, and the quote says by how much.
Lutron Caseta is the best pick if you want rock-solid reliability, no hub-router dependency, and dimming that works with every bulb type. Decora Smart is the budget pick if you only care about basic on/off and your home is already Wi-Fi heavy. Philips Hue is for colour-changing scenes — overkill (and over-priced) for general lighting.
Caseta replaces your existing switches and dimmers entirely — it does not work alongside dumb dimmers on the same circuit. The good news: Caseta installs into a standard switch box without needing a neutral wire (rare in smart switches), so older homes from before 1990 are usually compatible.
Usually yes — modern remodel-rated LED pot lights drop into a 4" hole and feed from the existing room wiring. We fish wire above the drywall in most cases, so you may only need 1–2 small patch holes. Popcorn or coffered ceilings make it harder; we will tell you upfront.
Yes — hardwired undercabinet strips with dimming, integrated into your existing kitchen circuit or a new dedicated one. Battery and stick-on options exist but never look as clean. We recommend pairing with a Lutron Caseta dimmer for smooth low-light scenes.
